I have seen the layered depths of hell
And trodden I was, beneath its spell
But somehow lived, then thrived to tell
What lies beyond if you pass through

The path to heaven is long and bleak
And full of incessant suffering
But, trudge away with spirit full
And lift yourself up when you’re consumed

Then, behold triumphant day
With open eyes, at pearly gates
Which greet you here, right now, this place
But, not some distant time and space

No, for eternity, you cannot wait
But simply learn to be, to taste
What eyes have been too blind to see
Infinite beauty that permeates
Each moment in every single day.
